Such a heartbreaking story. Young newlyweds, Celestial & Roy, have their whole lives ahead of them and then Roy is wrongfully convicted of a crime. The story is told from different perspectives as they try to figure out their lives and survive. This story dives into the incarceration system and how it completely turns lives upside down. How do you rebuild your life? Relationships change and a couple can't always make it through the battle. Unfortunately, I didn't love the characters. It was hard to be invested in either one of them and so I wasn't personally rooting for their relationship to survive. However, I think this is a must read because it's realistic. Not everyone has a happy ending.
