The audiobook version of this is excellent. I highly suggest reading this but also listening to the audiobook. It's written in prose and follows two sisters, one in NYC the other in the Dominican Republic. Their father dies in an airplane crash and their lives are changed forever. In their grief and confusion, two sisters come together for the first time in their lives. It's a heartbreaking but beautiful read.
