My Next Adventure: Paris & Brussels

Remember my trip to Montreal earlier in the year? Well I’m traveling again next month and this time I’m off to Paris and Brussels for a week. I’ve never traveled to Europe before and have always wanted to travel there. Truthfully, I kind of want to travel mostly everywhere but Europe has been on top of my list.

I’ll be in Paris four 4 days and Brussels for 3 days. This trip is kind of a belated 30 birthday present to myself. It’s rare that I can swing two week long trips in one year so I am truly grateful to be able to do that this year. Maybe I can make it an every year thing? Unfortunately, this girl is not loaded and doesn’t have much vacation time, so just booking last minute trips and jet-setting around the world is not in the cards for me. A girl can dream though and I’m trying to squeeze in as many trips as I can in a year. Hotels have been booked and a beer/chocolate tour has been booked in Brussels (look out for a post recapping the tour sometime in October!). Other than that, everything is up in the air. I am a go with the flow type traveler. I don’t like to over plan or over book my trips. If I overextend myself then I come home feeling like I need a vacation from my vacation. I do truly just like to wander about and see where the day takes me. With that said, I am looking for a cute, affordable brunch spot in Paris (are bottomless brunches a thing in Paris like it is here in NYC?) and other food & drink recommendations for both cities. Have you been to either Paris or Brussels? What are some foodie spots I have to try? Anything I shouldn’t miss out on? In other exciting news, this Saturday, August 26th is finally the meet and greet at the Vera Bradley store in the Walt Whitman mall in Long Island, NY. There will be snacks, drinks, and gifts. It’ll be a fun event with some shopping too of course! RSVP here if you’re in the New York area and can make it! I’d love to meet you there!

I’ve been twice to the airport haha, too scared to get out as I don’t think a 6 hour layover is enough time to explore the city, but I’d love to! Looking forward to your pics!

  12. For Paris – my favourite hotel to stay at is Hotel Luxembourg Parc. It’s boutique, beautiful and has a lovely courtyard where you can have your morning coffee or afternoon champagne.

I went to Paris with my sisters after my semester abroad, and it was so much fun! The Catacombs were my sister’s favorite, but mine was hiking up the Eiffel Tower. A word of the wise, don’t do both in the same day. Check out my videos from our trip on my Youtube page.

  24. Awesome and exciting! I loved Paris, it’s funny because for some reason I thought it was going to be over-hyped but it really is just a great city

oh wow, so exciting!!! have fun! i went to paris 2 years ago and loved it. i don’t know if i have any recommendations though lol, i’ve forgotten most of it except small things like getting a pastry on pretty much every corner. and we had falafel somewhere and it was delicious. we had a lot of picnics and would randomly stop in stores to buy stuff instead of eating at restaurants. it was great. i have never been to belgium but it’s definitely on the list!
